A Presidential election ballot must include at least 15 candidates to provide the voting populace with adequate choice.
Each candidate must be known on multiple (two, or more) worlds and have a
biographical resume available for the voting populace to use in their
decision making.
To become a candidate, one must be nominated by at least two representatives of differing worlds, either in a dipolmatic, ambassadorial, or governing position.
After being nominated, a candidate must pass a qualification exam, determining his/her/its leadership and decision-making abilities.
Campaign funding:
~ Each candidate is permitted to spend up to, but no more than, 20,000 PA$Us to run their campaign. ~ Each candidate must provide 20% of their own funding. ~ Each candidate can accept no more than 20% of their total campaign funding from any one person or organization.
