The Salonice Chronicles

So the October update never happened, then it was November and NaNoWriMo ate my soul.  But I got a solid first draft out of that, so it was definitely worth having to put Meroe and crew on the sidelines.

And of course no one is actually reading this, so no one is weeping for the terribly long time it's taking me to post, so there's that. :)

Anyway, chapter fifteen is up.  Meroe has now met the President of the Phoenix Alliance and Cheyne Tremils has put into motion his somewhat less than nefarious plan (though hardly selfless).

As some of you (the delightful imaginary thousands, lol) may recall, Turning is the year end holiday on Salonice, similar to New Years Eve here on Earth, only it last four days.

So Happy Turning to you all!

Whoo, a whole new chapter!  Meroe finally meets President Opalen, though not how she would have liked.  She did, however, make an impression.

This was one of the first scenes I ever photographed - I had practically no set, no proper costumes, Reice still had his coarse hair and I'm not sure what body he was on, but it wasn't this one.  I'm glad it took me so long to get around to shooting it "for real" - it's much more polished (yes, I said more polished, imagine how that first version must be!)

Hopefully Fifteen will be along next month since it picks up the morning after.

Added a Rumour Mill interview with Evin, timing is about a turn/year after the events in chapter 13.  Working on a sort of behind the scenes scene - Evin's fishing trips just got a little more interesting...

I've been working on some new clothing for the character who wear such.

And I have a map of the Northern Continent:

The plan was not to share any links to the Salonice Chronicles until they were done, which was supposed to take just a year.  HA!  Impatient and egotistical (hey we live for feedback, yes?) a few links here and there slipped out, but since I took time off for NaNoWriMo, and then had trouble making the switch from "real" writing to photostory, I probably should have stuck with not giving out links until it was done.  As it is, the second half is going to look much smoother than the first half, because I'm still learning how to do this funny thing I do.

It took much longer than I anticipated - obvs!

And now, the best I can say is - halfway there!  So if anyone's still following...thanks.  If not, well, who can blame you?   Chapter 13 is in one part, and it's 16 Comic Life pages long, whereas most of the chapters are in three parts, each anywhere from six to who knows how long.  But I feel it's complete and leaves off in a nice spot for Fourteen.

coming up....
